Dania J. Wright, affectionately known as Fluffy Jo, is a San Francisco Bay Area-bred artist. Her areas of focus are illustration, painting, mixed-media, fashion, animation and graphic design.
In 2006, Wright graduated from Loyola Marymount University's School of Film & Television with a BA in Animation, and Studio Arts minor. She has roughly 9 years professional experience, ranging from graphic design to art instruction. She's previously worked for MTV Networks, the Clorox Company, BET and GAP, Inc. She's also taught visual arts in Oakland & Berkeley Unified School Districts, and San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organizations.
In 2007, Wright founded Fluffy Jo, a line of wearable art. What started as a clothing company, has grown into a fine art and creative services studio. Wright is inspired by people, typography, texture and asymmetry. She enjoys putting her own twist on traditional portrait work as well as incorporating found objects into projects.

"My late great-grandmother, Valerie G. Bell, is truly the spirit behind Fluffy Jo. Ms. Bell (as she was addressed by all) was the matriarch of our family. She was innovative, sassy, loving, and simply beautiful. To Ms. Bell, everyday was a fashion show... literally! This woman would change outfits about 3 times a day, and adorn herself with beautiful accessories. I can remember following her around, and playing dress-up in her skirts, high-heels and bangles.
Ms. Bell is responsible for giving me my peculiar nickname. From the day I was born, I was Fluffy Jo. While no one knows why she chose this name, it has stuck to this very day. Unfortunately, Ms. Bell and I only spent 10 short years together, and I will forever cherish that period of time."
